Apple slices grease and splatter when baking on the stove. But when you've spent 1 1/2 hours trying to find the apple slice pan from the stash... And then forget about them from the freezer!
Ingredients (approx. 25 pcs.):
1/4 liter of milk
15 g of yeast
3 egg yolks
1 tablespoon of sugar
200 g flour
1 teaspoon cardamom, preferably freshly ground
the grated rind of an unsprayed organic lemon
65 g melted butter or e.g. thistle oil
3 beaten egg whites
oil for baking
Course of action:
Warm the milk and add the yeast.
Stir in the egg yolks and sugar.
Flour and spices are mixed and added.
The fat is added and the egg whites are carefully folded in. The dough rises gently for 20 minutes.
The apple slices become extra delicious when filled with apples. Belle de Boskoop is a lovely Danish apple in winter. The apple slices can also be filled with Swedish or applesauce.
