Flettede Fugle becomes Papirfamilien
Our family business is developing and since both wives, girlfriends and other family are now involved in the paper workshop, the name must of course be apt. Therefore, please welcome "Papirfamilien" (The Paper Family).
Flettede Fugle bliver til Papirfamilien
Vores familievirksomhed udvikler sig og da både koner, kærester og øvrig familie nu er inddraget i papirværkstedet, skal navnet selvfølgelig være rammende. Tag derfor godt imod “Papirfamilien”.
25 different DIY paper birds
We expand the flock every year and you are welcome to write to us if there is a particular bird that you think we should prioritize. You can also find more than 100 designs in our books.

Flettede Arktiske Fugle (Woven Arctic Birds)
The book contains the most beautiful and iconic birds inspired by travels around the cold north. The book can be read and edited in Danish, Icelandic, Faroese and Greenlandic.

Chicken
From ancient times, the Easter chicken has been a Nordic symbol of the coming of spring and new life. If the hen is allowed to keep her eggs, she will incubate her eight eggs for three weeks before they hatch.

The story behind
"In my family, the good old Christmas hearts have always had tight quarters. My father, Henning Holmsted, was an equilibrist with a pair of scissors in his hand, which resulted in many imaginative clips, especially at Christmas time. As the family is also characterized by a certain ornithological interest, was nothing more natural than combining clips with birds and voila: the Christmas bird was created..."
- Lars Holmsted
