Banana Bread by Aunt Bente

American Temptations. If you can't afford a trip to California, you can console yourself with this lovely cake. It's almost like being over there if you close your eyes and take a piece of banana bread - or two.


2-2 1⁄2 dl sugar
125 g butter
2-3 ripe bananas 2 eggs
275 g flour
1 tsp baking soda
1⁄2 tsp salt
100 g hazelnuts

Course of action:
Stir the butter and sugar well.
Stir in the eggs.
The nuts are chopped and added.
The bananas are mashed and added.
Baking soda and salt are mixed well and thoroughly with flour.
Stir together to form a smooth dough, which is baked in a greased tin.

Bake for 1 hour at 175 degrees.
Check with a knitting needle whether the cake is cooked through in the middle.
