Swan (white)
Swan (white)
The mute swan (Cygnus olor ) differs from the whooper swan with its orange beak and its large black bud above the beak. The whooper swan lives in lakes and along the coasts, where it feeds on seaweed and aquatic plants, which it reaches with its long neck. When the mute swan comes flying, a very characteristic hiss is heard from the wings.
